Love fest...Willi and Ruby

Well we had a bit of a love fest here this weekend. Ruby, our friend's new puppy came to visit just for the weekend, and it was love at first sight between her and Willi. They rolled around together for about 48 hours, kissed a lot, and they were clearly boyfriend/girlfriend by the end of the weekend. We felt sorry for Willi when Ruby had to go home. Ruby is a sweet girl who just loves to kiss and play. She was just Willi's size and they kept each other busy and entertained. Willi also likes Uben, but the love thing was really more between Willi and Ruby. Uben sat on the sofa, watched and supervised. They would both come and try to kiss him occasionally but he found this annoying so they would just go back to playing with each other.

Here's a couple of new buddies

Here's Willi and Uben takin' a break together on Uben's new lounge chair....he's fine with sharing but wants a pillow for his chin if at all possible.

Willi aka New Jack

This little fellow is Willi, but as I seem to right away change everyone's name, he's been dubbed "New Jack." Another Jack Russell (the Benman) was here when he arrived, so right away they became Old and New Jack.
Willi is having a good time here. He and the Benman had to be separated for one day and Willi New Jack cried to be with him for oh...about 12 hours. Now that Benny has gone home, Willi New Jack has stopped crying. He's a good boy all the way around. He likes to play with Uben, does not bounce off of the walls, and is very quiet. I think he has an interesting face with expressive eyes. He likes to go for walks but the dog walker's comment last night was that he is pretty slow and more my speed than his. I think his little legs are so short that he would have to run to keep up with Bernd.
Anyway, so far so good with Willi New Jack. He slept like a log last night which was great...sometimes on the first night here the dogs are restless, but he just jumped into his bed and stayed there until morning. When I woke up I found him in my bed, but he's little and did not take up too much space....and he was nice and warm!

It's true I'm a bit sick and twisted

Benny loves Uben. He follows him everywhere, they bark together, howl together, dig for mice together. Those of you who know Uben personally also know he's got a little medical problem with his sphincter, and since last year has been a bedwetter. He wears a wrap at night to save my sanity. Benny was kind of looking longingly at Uben's wrap so I put one on him too (though just for about 1 minute). He stood there looking pained and acted like he was afraid to move. We had a huge chuckle, took the picture, and then took it off. Had to unfortunately leave Uben's on but really he seems not to care too much and comes to us willingly to put on his "sleeping pants" every night. He's just a very good boy. Benny prefers to sleep naked.

What more could one possibly say?
