Have you ever dragged out of bed in the morning after being kind of smooshed against your pillow, looked in the mirror and amazed yourself with how bad your hair looked? I had the worst bed hair-do of my life last week and I really expected that the dog would say something about how bad I looked...but no. The boy never says a word, never acts like he notices, still just wants that morning pig's ear and then wants out to run around in the yard and carry on with his day as if I looked more normal.
